Winner of Eli’s Cartoon Caption Contest No. 193

“Can you read it again with a British accent this time?”

(by Rich Wolf)

My original caption: “Why didn’t the three little pigs’ lawyer just send a simple cease and desist letter to the big bad wolf?”

Congratulations once again, Rich Wolf, on capturing your fourteenth win, and two in a row, to boot. Is there any doubt that you are one of the funniest people around?

Sorry if my casual scrawling of “Fairy Tales” in this old drawing made it look like “Family Tales” to a few of you Captioneers. It was not an intentional mis-direction, just bad scrawling on my part, at the time many years ago when it was drawn.

Here are the other captions that were under consideration for top honors:

“Happily ever after? Really? Never even a little annoyed or out of sorts? They must have been highly medicated.” (by Gayden Wren)

“Except for the not so subtle microagressions, it’s pretty good.” (by sharon)

“Dad, can you choose another book . . . last time you read from ‘Family Tales” I had nightmares for a week!” (by Kay Ralph)

“Dad, these stories are supposed to put me to sleep, not the other way around.” (by Diane Weisman)

“But I’m adopted, ain’t I?” (by Mtd)

“Why does every tale end with an arrest?” (by Pat Foley)

Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving to all of you!

The next contest will be posted shortly, so please keep those funny captions coming.
