Winner of Eli’s Cartoon Caption Contest No. 109

“Nothing happened until I said I was here for his taxes.”

                                           (by Jonathan Stein)

My original caption: “He didn’t even give me a chance to tell him about our costume party.”

Nice going, Jonathan Stein! This is your second win — the first was a little over a year ago. So once again, you have proved to be one of the funniest people around — my heartiest congratulations!

There were some pretty clever entries this time around. These are the others that “almost made it”:

“Well, that’s three for three. You want to go first at the next one?” (by John Platt)

“In hindsight, I should have gone with the ‘Hello Kitty’ costume.” (by Cary Antebi)

“Well, don’t just stand there, get on your broom and get some help.” (also by Cary Antebi)

“I guess my husband was right. He always said I would be the death of him.” (by mel tanenbaum)

“I was wrong. Our cranky neighbor did have a heart.” (by Brendan Powers)

“Well, I never was the life of the party.” (also by Cary Antebi)

“If I knew killing him was this easy, I would have done it years ago.” (by Diane)

Don’t be discouraged if you haven’t won yet — this is an equal opportunity Contest and the next one will be up in a couple of weeks (it’s easy enough — simply submit the funniest caption!)
