Winner of Eli’s Cartoon Caption Contest No. 80

“That’s not what I meant by emptying the trash!”

                                              (by John Platt)

My original caption: ” ‘I’ll Google it’ is your answer to everything, isn’t it, Harvey?”

And it’s another big win for John Platt — his ninth one, actually. Congratulations, John, this is proof positive that you’re still one of the funniest people around!

Here are the other captions that almost made it, but fell short by that much:

“Do you remember exercise and fresh air, or shall I Google them for you?” (by Pete Citrelli)

“Turn that off or I’ll delete our love life.” (by Ken Wilkinson)

“Your soup is getting cold and so is our sex life.” (by Cary Antebi)

“Well this is code for, get off that computer or you’ll be sleeping in that chair tonight!” (by Jonathan Stein)

“How about if one of us works away from home?” (also by Pete Citrelli)

“Ever since you discovered AOL you’ve been AWOL from your family.” (also by Cary Antebi)

“Should I email you when dinner’s ready?” (by Kelasher)

As for all those cracks about the ancient computer set-up depicted in the drawing, please remember that this old cartoon was drawn many, many years ago, when that antique monitor was probably state-of-the-art.

Thanks for all the submissions. Contest No. 81 will be coming up in a couple of weeks, or a fortnight, or 14 days, whichever comes first.
