Winner of Eli’s Cartoon Caption Contest No. 75

“Son, I’m going to show you how to make a

sensible decision. We’re getting the Edsel.”

                                                        (by Levi)

My original caption: “Shall we have them deliver it, or will you wrap it around a pole in here?”

Congrats, Levi, you’ve done it again! This is your seventh winning caption — proof positive that you’re one of the funniest people around.

Did anyone come up with a funnier caption than my original one, which is more than 50 years old? Hmmmm . . . personally I don’t think so. What’s your opinion??? (And don’t bother telling me they’re all funnier!)

Anyway, here are some of the other captions that I was mulling over for top honors:

“NO, you will not be getting your own set of keys.” (by Mildred Romano)

“Now remember, this is for driving, not parking.” (by John Platt)

“No, GM doesn’t stand for Girl Magnet.” (by Cary Antebi)

“What’s it going to take me to get you OUT of this car?” (also by Cary Antebi)

“It’s called a convertible, son, not ‘topless’!” (by Caryn)

“Your student loan better cover this car.” (also by Cary Antebi)

Contest No. 76 will be coming up soon — I’ll try to make it real challenging for you all.
