Winner of Eli’s Cartoon Caption Contest No. 66

“Please drop the charges, your honor. I stole these roses just for you.”

                                                    (by Carlene)

My original caption: “Guilty, your honor — guilty of loving you.”

Congratulations, Carlene — your last caption did it! I was also seriously considering your next-to-last entry, “I’m pleading guilty to loving you, your honor. Please sentence me to life by your side.”  You can now officially consider yourself one of the funniest people around!

Lots of superior entries this time around. Here are some of the ones that were short-listed and didn’t quite make it:

“I plead LOVE!” (by Kelasher)

“Your Honor, I’m asking for a life sentence.” (by Caryn)

“Judge Judy, will you marry me now that I read you earn $20,000,000 a year?” (by Howard Garrett)

“Will you give me the honor of being my Honor?” (by Cary Antebi)

“Honestly, isn’t this much better than some long drawn out summation?” (also by Cary Antebi)

“You may sustain my objection, but don’t restrain my affection.” (by Levi)

Thanks, everyone, for sharing your senses of humor. Be on the lookout for the next contest — it’ll be up shortly.
