Winner of Eli’s Cartoon Caption Contest No. 41

"Nurse, make a note: no more 'papier mache' casts."

(by John Platt)

My original caption: "First of all, take this patient off tranquilizers."

Wow, John Platt, this is your sixth win. Congrats — you are certainly one of the funniest people around!

There were two other captions in consideration for top honors:

"Worst case of tapeworm that I've ever seen." (by Gary)

"If he sues me, he'll lose. He hasn't got a leg to stand on." (by Cary Antebi)

That being said, I have to honestly tell you that this is another instance where I considered my original caption ("First of all, take this patient off tranquilizers.") to be far superior to any and all of the entries submitted. Sorry about that, folks, but in my humble opinion you did not best me this time. Ah, if only I could award that coveted First Prize to myself . . .

But don't despair — there will be plenty of opportunities to top me in the future. Contest No. 42 will be posted soon.
