    I guess there’s nothing wrong with using a good idea twice, just thought I’d mention it …

    Okay, Levi, I guess you got me. Now, to delve more deeply into it, somebody very knowledgable once declared that there are only seven basic gag formats, and that all gags are just variations or rip-offs of one of those seven. No, I don’t know the seven formats and I don’t even know who said it (but I don’t think it was George Carlin). It just sounds like a good defense, and I’m going with it.
