Wow, it’s almost embarrassing to explain. It’s just a (very poor) pun on the casual, slovenly position the applicant has assumed in his chair. Sorry about that.

That’s okay, I thought that’s what it might be, but I wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be a pun or if the guy behind the desk was just implying that with the guy’s loud suit he would never get hired anywhere.
Overall, probably not one of your best gags, but nobody’s perfect.
